Wildlife Art Festival

On November 19th and 20th, the Annual Thomasville Plantation Wildlife Arts Show celebrated its 10th anniversary.  The Thomasville Plantation Wildlife Art Festival is held at the Cultural Center and has 3 stories of famous painters, sculptors and photographers from all over the country.  There are also several events for the children held outside.  Having Jim Fowler do a show each day is a tradition of many years and we have participated several times and always look forward to seeing old friends (of the animal handler type and our artist friends we've gotten to know through the years).  This year Jim "invented" a tunnel in which each animal chased a lure on a pulley from one end to the other.  It was a first and brought much entertainment with the tigers and leopard and wolves and much laughter when 3 little pot belly pigs chased the lure!  Casanova also went on stage with Jim and said Hello to the audience on Jim's microphone and then we gave him a bottle which brought many "oohs and awes" from the bleachers.  On the second day when we had a few extra minutes and Jim asked if they would like to see one of the animals again everyone yelled "the white tiger!"

While it rained Sunday, a fun time was had by all!

Photo 1: Jim praised Casanova and he even had Cas come back for an encore at the end of the show.  Photo 2: Casanova loves Jim.
Also showing several animals (black leopard, grown bengal tiger, white wolves and more) was Tim Seegers who has worked with Jim many times as well as trained his animals for several feature films as well as appearing on television shows.

Photo 4: As you can see Casanova is a bit protective (jealous) of Mom (Gloria) when Tim attempted a hug!
