Visit to Medart

School Appearances

As stated in our mission statement, "There is no better way to teach the value of our endangered friends than letting children see them 'up close and personal'".  We are pleased to present pictures of visits by the cats from Cougar Ridge Educational Center to schools in the Big Bend area.

Casanova visits Gretchen Everhart School

On November 2nd, Gloria Johnson brought Casanova to Gretchen Everhart School, a school for exceptional students located in Tallahassee.  As the following pictures reveal, all of the children, teachers and aides thoroughly enjoyed the visit!

Lakota's first class visit to Tallahassee's School of Arts & Sciences,

Holy Comforter School students from Tallahassee held a “nature week” this past March. They began by attending “Florida Panther class” at Cougar Ridge. The next day they visited Winter Animal Hospital which is where Dr. Greg Winter, our Doctor, practices.  (Sorry but we don't have pictures from their visit.)
